Émile Roubaud (March 2, 1882 in Paris – September 30, 1962 in Paris) was a French biologist and entomologist known for his work on paludism, yellow fever and sleeping sickness. Émile Roubaud, né le 2 mars 1882 à Paris et mort le 30 septembre 1962 dans la même ville, est un biologiste et entomologiste français connu pour ses travaux sur les parasitoses et notamment le paludisme, la fièvre jaune et la maladie du sommeil.

In 1903, together with Alphonse Laveran (1845–1922), he showed that the parasite responsible for the visceral leishmaniasis (or "Kala-azar", a fever in India), first described by William Boog Leishman (1865–1926), is a new protozoa, different from Trypanosoma, the agent of the sleeping sickness, and from Plasmodium, the agent of paludism (malaria). En 1903, en collaboration avec Alphonse Laveran (1845-1922), il démontre que le parasite responsable d'une fièvre de l'Inde (le Kala-azar) aperçu par William Boog Leishman (1865-1926), est un protozoaire nouveau, indépendant des trypanosomes et de l'hématozoaire du paludisme.
