Yamato Sanzan (大和三山) or "the three mountains of Yamato", in Kashihara, Nara Prefecture, Japan, are Mount Kagu (香具山), Mount Unebi (畝傍山), and Mount Miminashi (耳成山). Les Yamato Sanzan (大和三山?) ou « trois montagnes de Yamato », à Kashihara, préfecture de Nara, au Japon, sont les mont Kagu (香具山?), mont Unebi (亩傍山?) et mont Miminashi (耳成山?).

Moved during the reign of Emperor Tenmu, excavations have uncovered the foundations of the site of the Daikandai-ji (大官大寺), as it was then known, seven hundred metres to the south of Mount Kagu. Après qu'il a été déplacé durant le règne de l'empereur Temmu, les fouilles ont mis au jour les fondations du site du Daikandai-ji (大官大寺?), comme il était alors appelé, sept cents mètres au sud du mont Kagu.

In particular, the park is known for being one of the last areas where the kagu, an endangered bird which has become a symbol of the country, can be seen in its natural habitat, with a population of about 700; this is the largest single population of the species in the wild. Le parc est notamment réputé pour être l'un des derniers endroits où le cagou, espèce protégée devenue un emblème de la Nouvelle-Calédonie, peut être observé dans son habitat naturel (population d'environ 700 individus, soit la plus forte concentration de spécimens sauvages de cette espèce).
